Compensation Programs at the AER

  • performance-based, market-driven compensation program
As an employee of the AER, the figure at the bottom of your pay stub is only a part of your compensation package. Your total compensation includes pay, recognition, benefits, pension, and workplace programs.

Vacation and Holidays
  • a vacation schedule that begins with the equivalent of 15 days of vacation per year (1.25 days for each full month worked in your first year of employment) and increases as years of service increase

Flexible Work Options

  • most field inspection employees are eligible to work an adjusted schedule of daily hours, which provides for one day off for each nine days worked

We Value Employee Input
Periodically, the AER conducts an employee engagement survey where employees are asked to provide feedback on a number of areas including work environment, employee engagement, employee/leader relationships, learning opportunities, and work-life balance. Results are used to identify areas for improvement on a group, branch, and/or organization basis helping the AER to retain and attract staff, reporting on measures for corporate achievement, and further developing and measuring progress on current AER people initiatives.
